The daughter of a teacher and ethics professor-turned-clergyman, Christa Bennett was drawn from a young age to the use of civic engagement, including political advocacy, to help people. She currently works to support community development, so that all have opportunities to thrive. She believes that community discourse is strengthened when it includes diverse voices and experiences and that actively listening to each other’s stories is a first step to finding common ground. She created Community Well as a place where anyone with a story to tell could do so.
Christa likes to quote Kurt Vonnegut: “Let’s help each other get through this thing, whatever it is.”
